Frodo Baggins	History and Personality
	Frodo was born September 22, 2968 to Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck in Buckland, the home of his mother's people. In 2980 his parents drowned in the Brandywine River and Bilbo Baggins adopted him bringing him to Bag End. He and Bilbo lived a comfortable life in the Shire. In 3001, when Bilbo turned 111 and Frodo came of age at 33, they threw a huge party. It was here that Bilbo announced that he was going to leave the village and vanished. With his disappearance, Frodo inherited everything (including a magic ring). In 3018, Gandalf arrived in the Shire and told Frodo about the ring being the One Ring. He understood that he would have to take it far away from the Shire if he was going to save it. The journey began with his friend and gardener, Samwise Gamgee but it quickly included Pippin Took and Merry Brandybuck. At the Prancing Pony in Bree, they met up with Aragorn who helped them with the Nazguls. Unfortunately, Frodo was struck by a sword of a Witch-king and the tip remained within. He became very ill and was taken to Rivendell where he was healed. In Rivendell, Frodo and the others met up with Gandalf, Lord Elrond as well as Bilbo. When the Council was called to find out what was to be done with the ring, Frodo volunteered to take it to Mordor. Along the journey was Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legalos, Gimli, and Boromir. After Gandalf 'dying' at the Bridge of Khazda-dum Boromir tried to take the ring. Frodo refused and decided to continue on his own. That was not to be as Samwise insisted on coming along. The two friends continued the journey on their own. In Emyn Muil, Frodo and Sam met Gollum. After which Gollum helped Frodo and Sam through the Dead Marshes and toward Mordor through Ithilien where they met Boromir's brother Faramir. After that meeting the three Hobbits continued on where Gollum took them to Minas Morgul. Gollum told them of a secret passage which they took. This was where Frodo was attacked by Shelob. Sam believed the poisoned Frodo was dead and continued the journey on his own. Sam soon discovered that Frodo was not dead and they two were reunited. They headed for Mount Doom and getting rid of the ring. When there were at the end of their journey, Frodo gave in to temptation and refused to give up the ring, claiming it as his own. It was here that Gollum attacked Frodo and bit off his finger to get to the ring. Gollum fell into the chasm and the ring was destroyed. Frodo and Sam were rescued by Gandalf and the eagles. They were later healed by Aragorn and honored as heroes. Arwen gave Frodo a white jewel to bring him comfort when his wounds and memories became too much. She also offered him her seat on the ship taking the Elves to the Undying Lands. He returned to the Shire, but found his life there difficult. On the anniversary of his poisoning by the Witch-King and Shelob, Frodo would become ill once again. Memories haunted him until he finally decided to take Arwen up on her offer. In 3021, Frodo said good-bye to Sam, Merry and Pippin at the Grey Havens then boarded the ship with Bilbo, Gandal, Galadriel and Lord Elrond to the Undying Lands.
